Understanding nutritional requirements

You are here:
← Back

The requirement for an essential nutrient is the amounts or concentration that is needed to maintain health or prevent disease in an animal. For many nutrients there is a range of acceptable intakes which is defined by the minimum amount required to prevent adverse effects resulting from too little intake (deficiency) or the maximum intake above which, also results in adverse effects (i.e. toxicity).

Our app already gives you a list of requirements adapted to species and production purposes. You can filter them and compare them, before choosing the one that better fits your needs.

You can define the production purpose and the species on the filter bar available above the list.

Choose to display them by Standard Labels or Nutritional Labels to compare.
